The Piercings series renews the fixation of the work on a body with a synthetic power unprecedented in the work’s history. The alabaster fragments not only gain the shape of ears, but they also show themselves in pairs, at the right height, suggestive, on the wall. Suspended in the world, they incorporate the suggestion of movement to the mimetic process: in the end, they refer to a visual phenomenon that is typical of our urban landscape.
